This upcoming session is part of the BIAS Project’s capacity-building programme, designed in collaboration with the ETUI (European Trade Unions Institute) and with a major Italian TU representative, CISL Veneto, and aims to empower Italian trade unions with the tools to understand, question, and influence how AI is used in recruitment.
While AI can make hiring more efficient, it can also entrench inequalities, limiting opportunities for workers and making discrimination harder to detect. CSOs and TUs play a vital role in advocating for transparency and accountability in these systems.
This event will gather invited participants from the labour sectors to build awareness, discuss legal and ethical frameworks, and strengthen collective action towards fair and inclusive AI in recruitment.
💠 Real-world examples of how AI impacts workers’ rights
💠 Legal and policy guidance on GDPR, the AI Act, and anti-discrimination laws
💠 Ethical tools to recognise and respond to algorithmic bias
💠 Interactive exercises, including ETUI’s AI Games
💠 Collaborative discussions on the role of CSOs and TUs in shaping digital fairness
💠 Free lunch provided for all participants
This session is part of a closed series and is not open to public registration. Participation is by invitation only.
